Tetsujin hamono
Of all the workshops we work with, Tetsujin is one of the nearest and dearest to my heart as the blacksmith at Tetsujin, Toru Tamura once worked for me at Knifewear! He and renowned knife sharpener Naohito Myojin started Tetsujin in the late 2010s, and they’re producing some world-class blades that I’m very excited about.
Tetsujin is made of Toru Tamura-san, ( Who once worked at Knifewear)...

Toshihiro Wakui
Toshihiro Wakui-san is a third-generation maker of hand-forged crowbars who pivoted his business to knife making when hand-made crowbars went out of fashion. He mastered the art in four short years apprenticing under Kazuomi Yamamoto of Yoshikane and got to work making his own knives. Working completely solo in a rather chaotic workshop a la Doc Brown, he produces gorgeous blades with excellent fit and finish.

Tsukasa Suzuki
Suzuki-san is a talented blacksmith from Yamagata prefecture. He started his blacksmithing journey at 18 and has been hard at work perfecting his craft for 40 years now! He uses techniques and knowledge learned directly from his father, and together they add important threads to the rich blacksmithing tapestry of Yamagata. Tsukasa Suzuki is known primarily for his hand-forged sickles, but he also makes some incredible kitchen knives. They're unlike anything we've ever seen before! These single-bevel versions of standard knife shapes take some getting used to, but they allow food to fall away from the blade effortlessly. They feature a gorgeous kurouchi finish and a nice toothy edge.
