Sushi rice seasoning with ease. The rice mixing hangiri ensures more even seasoning of your sushi rice, resulting in more flavour throughout the batch. The wide barrel design allows you to get individual grains properly seasoned and cooled quickly. The wooden construction absorbs excess moisture, allowing less water to be retained by the rice and enabling more seasoning to be added.
To clean the hangiri, use warm water and soak off any stubborn bits of rice. Do not oversoak. Scrub using a tawashi or soft brush. Do not use soap, as the porous wood can take on the taste and aroma of the soap. Dry thoroughly and allow to air dry upside down.
