Mid-range blade for you DE shaving needs
"Don't let the image fool you...this review is for the double platinum (black box) blades and not the yellow "sharp edge" blades. I picked up the ten pack the last time I was by the main shop in Calgary. The per blade price is quite reasonable (outstanding if you're used to the astronomical price of cartridge blades). Shave-wise, I found these blades to be in the middle of the spectrum...not too aggressive, not too mild. They are very much the Gillette equivalent of Astra's double platinum blades. A definite step up from the KoI house blades and Sharp brand, but nowhere as aggressive as Feathers. Maybe a hair less aggressive than the "sharp edge" (yellow) version...but the difference isn't super noticeable. Durability was pretty average at around 5-6 uses before performance was no longer acceptable. Overall, a good choice for a mid-range blade."
