Tosa "Kujira" knife

"A unique, durable and functional design with a rustic look and feel - excellent quality! It's very sharp though safe to handle and perfect for more precise clean cuts. Excellent service and very happy with the prompt shipping."

Cute and useful!

"These are very sharp and also adorable!"

Beautiful, but cannot reccomend for food

"Beautiful knives but i unfortunately cannot reccomend them for food. I've only used them twice, and immediately washed and dried them after use and there is rust. Once there's any rust on the blade it's impossible to remove without further damage. The handle is also not great for cutting. However, this would make a great letter opener or decorative object."

Tosa whale knife

"This knife is always the talk of the party. It is an awesome cheese knife. The cheese doesn’t stick to the blade and the knife is super sharp."

A Cute Knife for Odd Jobs Around the House

"The Tosa sperm whale knife is a very fun little knife to use around the house and garden. I’ve used it to cut twine for tying tomato plants to stakes, for opening packages of ingredients in the kitchen, and even for some sewing projects. I wouldn’t personally use it directly for food preparation, but that’s mostly because the way the blade is angled in relation to the handle would make it difficult for me to chop herbs or do other small tasks on a cutting board. Overall though, I’ve found it to be an indispensable little helper."

Daniel C. (5/5)

Super unique and well made!

"Super unique and well made! Staff were also very helpful and really knew what they were talking about."

Great Knife

"Beautiful, sharp, well made"

Nic N. (5/5)

Versatile as a bagel knife

"Love using this as a bagel knife since i can use it to spread cold hard butter. The blade the sharp enough to shave butter into thin strips or curls. Then i slightly heat up the knife to help melt and spread the butter. I also use it to make my grill cheese sammies as a flipper, cheese cutter, and butter spreader."

Review for the Whale Knife

"Enjoyed using the knife, sharp edge, nice looking design, and works like a charm! Used it for sharpening pencils but could also be used in a wide variety of applications. Worth getting overall."

Matthew K. (5/5)

Tosa Sperm Whale

"I snagged the last two y’all had in stock for back to back wedding weekends this month. Both couples were astounded by the craftsmanship, and originality of the knife. Hopefully the Tosa will be making an appearance on a cheese board 30 years from now!"

Q&A

What do you cut with it?
Mostly smaller things, but you can do whatever you want? It is a fun little knife to have around, but isn't made for a particular purpose. - Ellie
Your images show 4 designs. Which are you offering in the garage sale?
Hey there, we have a selection of all four, there will be drop down menu to select the option you are after! - Ellie
Is there an easy way to store this knife, aka a saya or some sort of sheath?
Hey Victor, The edge should fit in one of our plastic blade guards https://knifewear.mom/products/knifewear-blade-guard-150mm?variant=5275498116 There is a chance it doesn't and if that doesn't work, I'm afraid we have nothing else to fit them in. Alex
What is required to care for these knives? Do they rust easily? Thank you.
They will rust as normal steel does; they are not stainless steel. The care required is minimal though, just dry them off as soon as you are done using it. Be aware that this kind of steel does stain with use and does turn some folks off, others call it a patina and enjoy how it changes over time, just don't expect it to look the same as when it was new after using it. Does that make sense? Mike.
