Born and raised in Calgary, AB, Matt Abergel worked as a chef in Vancouver and New York before settling in Hong Kong to open his Yakitori restaurant Yardbird in 2011. The Shinogi 15-25 Knife Case is his passion project, the ultimate knife case developed from 2015 to 2025.
Meticulously designed to safeguard the professional tools you rely on, it combines technical precision, utilitarian design and purpose-driven durability. The case body is ABS plastic with an aluminum frame. The handle is nylon paracord with zinc alloy connectors. Closures are Fidlock magnetic snap pulls. The nameplate is stainless steel.
The Shinogi 15-25 holds 8-10 knives, accomodating different widths of blade with its accordian divider system. The bamboo and elastic top racks holds your essential tools, like scissors, sharpies, tasting spoons, and more.
