Even though they need sharpening, your knives will still be able to slice through poor quality packaging, hurting shipping personnel, and possibly damaging your blades. In order to prevent that we have some important knife packaging instructions.

Step 1:

Pack your knife securely inside a box, the original packaging is perfect. Make sure to include your contact info in the box so we don’t mix up your knives with someone else’s. Use newspaper or bubble-wrap to hold the knife in place. Close the box and shake it, if you don’t hear any movement, you’ve done a good job!

Step 2:

Tightly wrap the box in paper. Here in the shop we use butcher paper.

Step 3:

Clearly label the package, and take care to tape the tearable edges with packing tape.

Now you’re all set! Head on down to the post office and send us your knives.

Thanks again for your business!

"This knife is almost 15 years old with improper sharpening it lost all its blade geometry. Knifewear sharpening totally restored a very nice blade geometry and a very thin cutting edge. I am more than happy with their work would recommend them highly."

Brilliant Service!

"I recently sent 8 knives in to your Vancouver store to be sharpened. Two blades which I recently purchased from your Calgary shop, were virtually new and you dressed them both sharper than new! Sadly, some knives needed more work and when I got them back I knew I had made the right choice to trust you with them. Of the eight knives sent in to you, five are from Knifewear. Yur turnround time is very fast. Absolutely no regrets. Well done Knifewear! Merry Christmas and thank you for your incredible customer service. Cheers."

Chris C. (5/5)

Very convenient

"This is a lovely service for folks like me from away. We are on vancouver island and not in Vancouver often so this is a great service. I have a stone and could try myself but these are such special knives I would hate to make a mistake. This requires a professional job."

Glen D. (5/5)

Mail in knife sharpening label

"Hello, I recently ordered a label so I could get my knives sharpened by your company. The label arrived promptly but with a Calgary address ( I ordered it from your Vancouver store), and the top line read " please change this". I have sent 2 emails asking for clarification on this, as I am wondering if this is a mistake. I have not received a reply. I will not send my knives until I am satisfied that the label is correct, and I am not happy that I have not had a reply."

margaret h. (5/5)

perfect label - easily printable

"I was very pleased with this service. Took a few days to complete, due to an Email error, but was perfectly fine afterwards. I highly recommend!"
